Led the association through the 2024/2025 session, expanding student welfare, technical workshops, and high-impact industry collaboration.
Pioneered the inaugural Systems Synergy conference, and strengthened academic mentorship and technical project tracks.
Established the first industry partnership with a Big-4 consulting firm, opening structured internship pathways.
Navigated ASES through post-pandemic recovery; rebuilt alumni engagement and launched the mentorship pilot.
Oversaw a fully virtual administration during COVID-19, maintaining student welfare programmes and events online.
Championed student development initiatives, inter-level collaboration, and coordinated the annual Systems Engineering technical summits.
Grew ASES membership to a record 400+ active members and secured the association's first corporate sponsorship.
Revamped departmental communications, expanded the annual ASES Lecture Series, and elevated academic support for undergraduates.
Strengthened departmental representation across the Faculty of Engineering and led ASES to multiple inter-faculty academic honours.
Pioneered the departmental community outreach programme, engaging secondary schools in Lagos.
Established the ASES Alumni Network, connecting over 200 graduates for the first time.

Prof. Olumuyiwa Sunday Asaolu
Professor of Systems Engineering specialising in artificial intelligence, systems modelling, and engineering analysis. First PhD in Engineering Analysis from a Nigerian university, and a former Head of Department.

Dr. Comfort Oluwaseyi Folorunso
Senior Lecturer in electronics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and biometrics, including laughter analysis. Course advisor and final-year project coordinator in the department.

Dr. Oluwafemi Ayodele George
Computational chemical engineer with expertise in CFD simulation, coding, and applied AI for food production, health, and energy. Teaches numerical methods, algorithms, and continuum mechanics.

Dr. Oluwafemi Ipinnimo
Researcher in artificial intelligence, smart grids, renewable energy, medical robotics, and sustainability. Deputy Director of the NITDA Hub at UNILAG and a former Acting Head of Department.

Dr. John Ogbemhe
Senior Lecturer in industrial robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital manufacturing. His work on robotic welding trajectories and motion continuity is applied in advanced manufacturing systems.

Dr. Patrick Shola Olayiwola
Specialist in engineering analysis and vibration, with industrial experience in project and maintenance engineering. Research focuses on reducing vibration damage in vehicles, pipelines, and related systems.

Dr. Kehinde O. Orolu
Multidisciplinary systems engineer whose teaching and research cover systems design, nonlinear dynamics, systems simulation, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on sustainable engineering solutions.

Dr. Michael Ogundero
Early-career researcher in control systems, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. Applies machine learning to energy, environment, and infrastructure, including smart water monitoring.

Dr. Olumide Odeyinka
Engineering management lecturer specialising in process improvement, manufacturing optimisation, and AI for decision-making. Research includes Lean Six Sigma modelling and supply-chain inventory systems.
